College Time!

So as everyone is aware the fall semester is on it’s way and if you are worried and don’t know what to do?! I’m here to help!

1. Prep.

Even though the semester starts in just a couple of days, don’t worry you still have time to get organized and you head in the right spot. When you have your list of classes, go to your campus bookstore and request a list of books you’ll be needing for that semester. Be frugal with your money, so shop around online or you can even talk to people around campus and see if they have any books that they’ve already used and want to trade for or sell you.

2. Get Your Daily Routine Down.

I literally mean write it down. Make an hour by hour, which means all of your class schedule and their times, include your breaks and when you’re officially out of class so you can pencil in work time, you time, or go out and do something. It really pays off to be organized.

3. Go Online!

Shop for deals and coupons, use student discounts and other promos to get your school supplies. If you are the type that has to take out a student loan, first before you go head over heels in debt, do your homework. Act like you don’t have any money first when you are ordering your stuff online or in stores apply your coupons and discounts in your head and then after you have look around for a day or two go to take out your loan. Also factor in your other expenses like fee and tuition. Dont take anymore money than you actually need.

4. You Time.

Before you start class, start out on the right foot. Take some time for you, do something that you enjoy or that simply relaxes you. For me it’s yoga, I like to take time and stretch and really focus on not thinking, it helps you become more organized, focus, and on point. Mediation is also another great way to relax, but do what ever makes you comfortable. Take time for you.

5. Enjoy The Time You Have.

Even if you are fretting go to college don’t worry about it so much you’ll make friends there, there will be other people who are just as scared as you and life isn’t over you’ll make it. Stay on top of your work with a schedule and you’ll never have to worry about your grades. Oh, and BTW if you have a chance to make extra credit, run to the professor and hug them. Extra credit is hardly heard of in college take the advantage while you have it.
