The Perfect Breakfast!

This quick snack is absolutely stunning, look at the gorgeous colors but the taste explodes in your mouth. I’ll let you in on a little secret I get most of my ideas for Pinterest and then try them for my self so follow me on Pinterest for some amazing pins! But back to the food.

Are you ready for the recipe?

You can either use homemade batter to make the waffles or use whatever you like. Here’s a recipe to make the batter if you have a waffle press.

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 egg

1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 1/4 cup flour

1/2 teaspoons baking soda

Combine all wet ingredients together,(butter, egg, & vanilla) until well blended. Slowly add in your dry ingredients,(brown sugar, reg. sugar, flour, & baking soda.) You’ll have a kind of thick batter but that’s perf! Okay, now grease your waffle press and drop about a tablespoon into each side. Close the press and cook for 1-2 minutes.

The Glaze!!

4 oz. blueberries

1 tablespoon water

2 cups confectioners’ sugar

In a sauce pan throw in blueberries and water, saute until the blueberries create a think syrup. Strain the berries and add the confectioners’ sugar, whisk until smooth.

Take your freshly made waffles and cut into twos, glaze them, & add delicious fresh blueberries & strawberries. You can add a little powder sugar to the top if you want, totally up to you!

Enjoy & Happy Blogging!
